The Warren-Massillon Striders Qualify 12 Athletes for the USATF Junior
Olympic Regional Championships
June 27, 2004 --
The Warren-Massillon Striders
Track Club qualified 12 athletes in 27 different events for the Region V USATF
Outdoor Championships to be held Thursday, July 8 thru Sunday, July 11, at
Farmington High School, Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Paced by outstanding performances
from Jackson Middle School student Jahari Murdock and Perry Locals Aris Mittas
the Striders racked up 6 first place, 7 second place and 8 third place finishes
at the Lake Erie District Championships held at Independence High School on
Saturday, June 26.
The top 3 finishers at the
Regional Championships will advance to the USATF Junior Olympic National
Championships to be held in Eugene Oregon, July 27 thru August 1.
